Please, please don&apos;t wash your dog with Dawn dish soap! Have you seen the touching stories about Dawn saving ducks from oil spills in the ocean? That&apos;s because Dawn is an incredible grease cutter which is good news for ducks in oil spills, but very bad news for your dog&apos;s skin. Dog&apos;s skin is covered with natural oils that protect it and keep it moist. Soap can be especially drying to a pet&#x2019;s skin and leave residue in the fur, causing itching, dandruff and shedding. Soap is also more likely to wash off any topical flea preparations.
