Get answers for frequently asked questions about earthbath® ingredients.

Are earthbath® products gluten free?

We are proud to confirm that all earthbath® products are gluten free! 🎉

What is the "vegetable-derived conditioner and detangler" ingredient in earthbath® Conditioner?

We use behentrimonium methosulfate (the word sulfate is deceiving - it's actually not a sulfate - it comes from grapeseed oil!) as a natural ingredient in our conditioner.

Is tea tree oil safe to use on my pet?

We use less than 1% of tea tree oil in our shampoo, which is then diluted to an even smaller percentage as you're washing your pet. When used properly, tea tree oil is beneficial to your pet’s skin and coat and safe to use.

Why do some earthbath® products contain tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil? I heard they were toxic to pets.

The percentage of oil needs to be low enough for it to be safe.  We have done extensive research on this over the years to perfect our formulas to ensure that they are safe and non-toxic.

Why do earthbath® cat products contain aloe vera? I thought it was toxic to cats.

Aloe vera offers many wonderful natural healing properties for the skin and can be safely used on cats and dogs in the proper dosages.

Do earthbath® products contain methyldibromo glutaronitrile or phenoxyethanol (phenoxytol)?

Some of our products contain phenoxytol at a concentration of about .4% in order to keep them from destabilizing, as well as to help prevent bacteria and germs from forming.
